My Dad was born in Henrico County of Old Virgina in 1913.
He was named for the City of Richmond Va.
It was always told/maybe laughingly by Dad that he could have been named Pocahontas, for Henrico County if he would have been a girl. But he always laughed and said
Thank goodness he was a boy, and had the name Richmond
